The fourth session in our Safe + Sound Week 2020 Virtual Speaker Series features Columbus McKinnon material handling experts Bob Schmitt, Jon Walters and Casey Cummins. The trio discuss how crane controls can be used to improve safety throughout your facility.
Casey Cummins is a Magnetek Controls Product Manager at Columbus McKinnon Corporation. He started with the company in 2011. Prior to moving into a management roll, Casey worked on embedded firmware development and electrical design. Also, Casey actively serves on the AIST crane committee. Outside of engineering life, he is fascinated by the modern space race and astrophysics, and also has a goal of hiking all the US national parks.
Jon Walters is a Senior Sales Application Engineer and Technical Trainer at Columbus McKinnon.
Jon has been with the company for nearly 30 years, with fifteen of those years serving as a corporate trainer. He brings a wealth of on-the-job application and product knowledge to the thousands of people he’s trained on behalf of Columbus McKinnon. His education includes a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology from the Milwaukee School of Engineering.
Bob has been with the company for 36 years in a variety of positions with increasing responsibility, beginning in Inside Sales and transitioning to Product Management. Bob is currently the Controls Business Development Manager and an active AIST Crane Committee member.
